The failure in expectations isn’t just the expectations we set, mutually agree upon, and enforce to others; but it’s the expectations we set for ourselves.
How would you feel about how you are managing you? Are you setting expectations that you are dismissing? Would you fire yourself as manager or employee? We need to embrace 3-level thinking (owner, manager, front-line; why, what, how) not just for our work but for our personal lives as well.
