Part of the definition of resilience is the ability to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed. Resilience keeps us going, but resilience also will bring us back. The understanding is that sometimes we need to get back to where we were. Like in dieting people will usually fail for a meal, just don’t fail two meals in a row. Don’t allow your bad decision, your bad day, your bad performance to become a new normal.
