The Enemies of Resilience
November 13, 2019

Leader Notes
Now that we know the significance of resilience, we need to know what keeps us from resilience. Our important contributions are always in the long-term, so if you don’t know what’s going to cause you to bail you’ll be blindsided by the difficulty.
Three common enemies of resilience our:
1. A lack of clarity on why: if you don’t know & feel purpose the obstacle will feel too much.
2. The excuses we make: When we blame we attribute things to forces outside our control which leads to a feeling of helplessness. It doesn’t matter who is to blame for what is wrong, the resilient leader takes responsibility for making it better.
3. Boredom: We get tired of showing up.
Purpose: He who has a why to live can bear almost any how. – Nietzsche
- Boredom: The greatest villain of self-improvement is boredom. (Miracle Morning)
Your influence will lead people somewhere, lead them towards Hope.
