Leader Notes
It’s essential to have PPE for front-line workers. Too dangerous for them to go out without personal protection. PPE for leaders protects yourself so leadership doesn’t consume you. Waiver: chance you might not care about a bit of this and just scroll on by; also a chance that this might really help you.
Set Trajectory:
- Typically heard: Take care of yourself physically, have a hobby, have friends. Good.
- Note: Masks helpful- respiratory, others it isn’t. Your equipment matters for what is most likely to take you out.
– You might not need a hobby, because a hobby won’t be protective, just distracting.
What will take you out:
1. Burnout—> Overextended
– Rest Schedule (Sabbath)
– Hobby
2. Moral Failure
– Accountability
– Character Deposits (Devotionals)
3. Worn out—> Overwhelmed
– Burnout happens because you’re overextended, Worn out is when you’re overwhelmed.
– Happens because isolated, can’t share the burden- need friends.
4. Pride
– People don’t want to work with you, caustic affect on others.
– Coach, you need to do what the coach says.
Your influence will lead people somewhere, lead them towards Hope.
